Kalydo upgrades to 3.0 - Important notice

We are upgrading the Kalydo Player, the software which runs our 3D browser games, to its new version 3.0 between 5 and 10 november.

Everyone will be prompted to re-install the Kalydo Player upon playing a game. This is an automatic, mandatory update. The previous version will no longer work. After installing the new Kalydo Player you will be able to play all of our games again, now and in the future.

Downtime during the transition
Between 5 and 10 November it is possible we will experience a few hours of downtime. We apologize for the inconvenience.


New features in the Kalydo Player v3

The Kalydo Player has been improved with the following key features:

• Up to 3 times shorter loading times
• Better stability and browser support (IE 6, 7, 8, Firefox, Chrome)
• Improved options panel with full screen and audio options
• Extensive scalability with future MMO support
• Automated localisation support (more languages coming soon)


Faster loading times
The most noticable improvement is the extremely optimized loading times of the games. All the games on the Kalydo Platform now load up to 3 times faster than before.

Extensive scalability, security and the future
The Kalydo Platform is growing bigger and bigger and more games are coming your way. In the near future these new games will include multiplayer games and MMO games.

To support this type of games the Kalydo Player has been made ready to seamlessly provide these games in the web browser. Soon you will be able to play MMO’s directly from your web browser, without the need of a large download.

New Kalydo website design

Hello everyone,

Probably you have noticed that the Kalydo website has gotten a new look. So why have we changed the website design?



The past months the number of partner websites that work with Kalydo has increased dramatically. While we really liked the previous website with the green tabs on the side, we needed something that was more fitting for all our partners. The redesign is a combination of design and technical decisions.



Most of our partners have limited space on their website so there was a demand for a smaller 'console'. On top of this we felt that the Kalydo console needed to be even simpler to use so we took out every small thing that was not really neccesary. One of the main new features is that there's now a customizable skin around the Kalydo console which can be different for all our partners. So expect some wonderful cool game artwork to enjoy every time you visit us!

We hope you enjoy the new look of the website. We will miss the old one a little bit as well but that's life! Mahjong Mountain is coming out soon, that's why the new skin is all dressed up and in Mahjong Mountain style. We hope you like it when its out!

Winners contest Konstrukt Invasion

The past few months the great music community Tribe of Noise held a contest together with us. In this music contest professional and non-professional musicians were invited to make new music for our shooter game Konstrukt Invasion.

Within the first day there were already over 30 submissions, which grew to a whopping 160 submissions during the course of the contest. The quality was exceptionally high, ranging from classical pieces to rock and electronica.

The contest quickly aquired national and international acclaim, got featured on several reknowned websites and got airplay on the Dutch national radio (BNNToday).

The prize of the concest ofcourse is getting your music featured in our game Konstrukt Invasion. And that's what we have done for you. The two winners (we couldn't decide hehe) are now permanently part of the game on our website and our partners (Netlog, BBGsite).

"This piece of work proves the composer masters the creation of quality (electronic) music. A very epic track which one can't listen to without being affected by it's imposing gleam. Certainly very good and suitable as menu music but in my opinion a little less original as the winning track."

Hello Kalydo friends,
